Bookshop Crawl UK CIC are seeking friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to assist with our events around the country. In 2026 we will be running bookshop crawls across the UK, as well as looking to start regular book swaps & bookish groups in a range of locations. If you are interested in assisting with either of these, please  find more information and an application link below.

Bookshop Crawl volunteers role can include:

• Helping to distribute leaflets to bookshops, schools and community centres ahead of events 

• Assisting group leaders on bookshop crawls by walking at the back of a group, ensuring that the pace if right for all members and making sure all group members are present when moving from shop to shop

• Providing a friendly, welcoming presence to the group and helping people to feel comfortable

Volunteering for book swaps & bookish groups can include:

• Helping to set up venues before the event, and pack away after 

• Keeping track of arrivals using ticketing lists

• Helping ensure the conversation flows well and attendees know where amenities are and what is available at the event

Volunteers must be friendly, reliable and understand the community ethos of Bookshop Crawl UK. Time commitment varies, and may be irregular but will always be agreed with you in advance! If you are interested, please fill in the form below.
